Elizabeth Breeding Scobee, 90, a lifelong resident of Bartholomew County, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, in Naples, FL. Elizabeth was born August 20, 1920, in Edinburgh, Indiana, to Clarence and Frances Breeding. She was a graduate of Columbus Indiana High School and Franklin College in Franklin, Indiana. Elizabeth was a member of the Edinburgh First Christian Church and Tri Kappa Sorority. She retired from the Edinburgh State Bank in 1985 as a Vice President and enjoyed living on her family farm, visiting with her family, and playing bridge. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Elaine and Michael Walsman of Bonita Springs, FL; a brother, David C. Breeding of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Mary Sue Barnett of Lake Odessa, MI; a grandson, and his wife, Scott and Danielle Walsman of Maplewood, NJ; a granddaughter and her husband, Sara and Chris Witz of St. Davids, PA; and three great-grandchildren. A memorial gathering will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh with a service to follow at 12 p.m. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
