Douglas Warner, 64, of Columbus, died at 11:20 p.m. Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Hospice of South Central Indiana Inpatient Facility. A retired contractor, Mr. Warner enjoyed spending time with family and friends and canoeing. He also was a cattle and firearms enthusiast. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburg with the Rev. Lewis Burton officiating. There will be no calling. Arrangements were made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Mr. Warner was born in Columbus Sept. 21, 1946, the son of James E. and Evelyn Faye Miller Warner. He is survived by his father, of Columbus; sons, Sean Warner and James C. Warner, both of Columbus; a brother, Dale (Kathy) Warner of Columbus; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
