Mary Susan “Sue” Barnett, 91, died at Sunrise of Cascade Senior Living Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan, on Thursday, Sept. 18, 2014. Born May 12, 1923, in Edinburgh, to Clarence and Frances Breeding, she attended Columbus High School and graduated from Franklin College in 1945. Sue married H. James “Jim” Barnett in 1948; and they raised their family in Lynn. Jim Barnett passed away Aug. 29, 2001. In 2002, Sue moved to Lake Odessa, Michigan. Survivors include her brother, David Breeding, and wife, Marilyn, of Rolling Hills Estates, California; and her four sons and their wives, Steve and De Barnett of Loganville, Georgia, Bill and Becky Barnett of Kokomo, Dick and Robin Barnett of Lake Odessa, Michigan, and John and Margy Barnett of Acworth, Georgia. She also had 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She loved her family and immensely enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved the Lord Jesus Christ and served him faithfully all her adult life. She was very active in her church of 50 years, First Christian Church of Lynn. After moving to Michigan, she attended Outreach Christian Church. She also was a member of Bible Study Fellowship International for more than 20 years. The funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St., Edinburgh. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. She was deeply beloved and will be greatly missed. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home.
