Alice M. Stines M-G-79-4

Alice M. Stines, 81, of Taylorsville, IN, passed away on October 29, 2014, at her residence. She was born October 10, 1933, in Brown County, IN. She was the daughter of Russell and Virginia (Walls) Thickstun. She married Charles A. Stines on March 23, 1952, and he survives. Survivors include her daughters, Debra Joan (Clark) Miller of Logansport, IN and Vicki Lynn Jeffries of Columbus, IN; brother, Leon (Karen) Thickstun of Nashville, IN; sisters, Joan (Donald) Dewar of Nashville, IN and Peggy Robertson of Bloomington, IN; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She was of the Methodist faith. She worked at the Hilton Garden Inn as a hostess. She worked for ambulance services in Columbus, IN, after getting her EMT license at age 55. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bowling, reading, camping and traveling. Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 1, 2014, conducted by the Rev. Byron Fritz at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, IN. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, October 31, 2014, and from 11:30 a.m. until time of service Saturday. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetary in Edinburgh. Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
