Lola Allen, born September 19, 1925, died January 12, 2015, was born in Liberty, Kentucky to Ike and Beosie (Hardwick) Burton, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by husband, David E. Allen; a son, Kermit Junior Allen; grandson, Joseph David Allen; sisters, Marie, Nadine and Imogene Johnson; and brothers, Elmer and Cleo Burton. She survived by a daughter, Judy and her husband, Brian Prather; a son, Wendill and his wife Peggy Allen; and a daughter-in-law, Sara Allen, all of Edinburgh; six grandsons, Matthew and wife, Eunice Prather, David and wife, Amber Prather, Nathan and Robby Allen, Billy Allen and Kevin and wife, Renee Allen; three step-grandsons, Robert, Jimmy and Eddie Green; three granddaughters, Pamela King, Hannah and husband, Jeff Boucher and Jennifer Allen; six great-grandsons, Andy, Demitrius and Ricky Allen, Payon and Landon Allen, Adam Prather and David Boucher; two step-grandsons, Bowdy and Charlie Green; four great-granddaughters, Faith and Jamie King, Arabella Allen and Desiree Jones; four step-granddaughters, Jayla and Allison Green and Josie and Aylena Green; and three great-great-granddaughters, Ava, Clara and Sara Allen. She is also survived by a sister, Linda and husband, Larry Hogue of Liberty; and sister-in-law, Elizabeth Burton of Edinburgh. She enjoyed going to Church and reading her Bible. She enjoyed being with her family and also enjoyed sewing, making quilts and crocheting. She was the puzzle lady at Homeview. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Edinburgh Separate Baptist Church, 905 South Main Street. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Church. Burial will at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Grinsteiner Funeral Home in Indianapolis is in charge of the arrangements.
