Cortnee L. Eastman, 15, of Edinburgh, passed from this life at 1:05 p.m. Monday, July 27, 2015, at Columbus Regional Hospital Emergency Room. Cortnee was a sophomore at Columbus East High School where she participated in Volleyball. A sports enthusiast and a good athlete she played basketball and grew up participating in gymnastics and while attending Northside Middle School she enjoyed track. She was a former Dance Zone dancer, Go-Kart racer, diver and was a competitive cheerleader in Westfield at ICE Athletics. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday at Westside Community Church with Robert Vester officiating. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. to time of service at the church. Arrangements were made by Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home. Tefft Eastman. Survivors include her parents, Lawrence and Shannon Eastman of Edinburgh; brothers, Zackery G. and Joshua P. Eastman both of Edinburgh; a sister, Tara K. Eastman of Minnesota; grandparents, Daniel and Lori Tefft of Edinburgh and Donald and Ricki Eastman of Michigan; great-grandparents, Robert and Joyce Graham of Arizona, and Daniel and Patricia Newnum of Michigan; godparents, Derek & Kelly Tefft of Michigan; and several cousins.
