James Richard Beier, 63, of Chestnut Street, died at 12:10 p.m. Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Manor Care South in Indianapolis. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, April 8, 1952, Mr. Beier was the son of Harold Charles and Mabel L. Compton Beier. Mr. Beier retired from the Indiana Army National Guard after 30 years of service. Mr. Beier is survived by his daughter, Melissa L. Beier of Columbus; a sister, Bonnie Sharp of North Vernon; brothers, Ronald (Pam) Beier of Florida and Donald Beier of Texas; and two grandchildren, Gage Ingram and Nevaeh Coffman. Mr. Beier was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, James Richard Beier Jr. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in section, Breeding D, at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Full military rites will be presented by the Indiana Army National Guard Ceremonial Unit.
