Eugene “Gene” Hudson Badger A-173-1

Eugene “Gene” Hudson, 71, of Shelby County, Indiana passed away May 23, 2019 at ManorCare in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born November 10, 1947 in Acorn, Missouri. He was the son of Clyde and Vernice (Green) Hudson. He married Karen (Milby) Hudson. He is survived by his wife, son, David (Candy) Hudson of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandchildren, Hunter Wainscott, Morgan Wainscott, Dalton Hudson, and Cade Hudson, great-granddaughter, Lily June O’Dell, brother, Jim (Yonie) Hudson of Burleson, Texas, sisters, Rosetta (Danny) Hoskins of Paragould, Arkansas, Shirley (Jerry) Hopkins of Paragould, Arkansas, Glenna Burcham of Burleson, Texas, Lenda Pruitt of Burleson, Texas, and Joyce Boykin of Franklin, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister, Norma Kunza. Gene was a1966 graduate of Kennett Missouri High School. After graduating, he enlisted in the US Air Force and served from 1966 to 1970. He formerly managed CJ Rayburn Race Cars. He worked for Hoosier Parts in Seymour as a buyer for high performance racing parts. He loved his family and the Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church family where he was a member. He helped lead the Free Indeed addition meetings at the church. He was an avid photographer and enjoyed taking pictures of activities at the church. He enjoyed building and driving dragsters, restoring old tractors, and had a personal collection of over 300 toy tractors. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 by Reverend Lewis Burton at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Arrangements made by Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh, Indiana.
