Lucille B. Cook, 86 of Edinburgh, Indiana passed away June 4, 2020 at Homeview Center in Franklin, Indiana. She was born September 16, 1933 in Columbia, Kentucky. She was the daughter of Ernest and Elizabeth (Sinclair) Burton. She married Vernon Cook on March 10, 1951. He preceded her in death on April 17, 1986.

She is survived by her son, Michael (Daria) Cook of Edinburgh, Indiana, daughters, Michelle (Randy) Dover of Rocky Mount, North Carolina and Melissa “Lisa” Buck (Chad Anderson) of Edinburgh, Indiana, grandchildren, Jarrod Dover, Seth (Heather) Dover, Adrian (Mary) Cook, Courtney (Cameron) Weddle, Blake Buck, and Braden Buck, great-grandchildren, Brynlee Weddle, Kasen Weddle, and Emma Cook, brothers, Alton Burton of Columbia, Kentucky, Billy Joe Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana, and Danny Burton of Seymour, Indiana, and sister, Patty Lee of Columbia, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, Roger Burton, and sisters, Freda Hembree, Glenna Rooks, and Eunema Goodin.

Lucille was a member of the former Assembly of God Church for 38 years and attends Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. She was a 32 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Edinburgh, and now Franklin. She drove a Meads Taxi for 17 years. She also had worked at Shaffer’s Drug Store and Amos-Hill Veneer in Edinburgh.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and watching IU, Pacers, and Colts ball games.

A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Who-So-Ever-Will Community Church in Edinburgh, Indiana. Calling will be Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
