Water Discoloration Notice 8/19/2020

The Town of Edinburgh has received some complaints from our citizens over the coloration of the water being supplied to the community.  The Town does recognize that the water is discolored at certain points.  Despite the discoloration, please know the water remains safe to drink and use.

We are doing all we can to correct the situation as quickly and effectively as possible. As one of our major steps, we are working with Wessler Engineering to address the discoloration issue and how we can remedy the same with our current system. We will be doing a pilot treatment study to determine the most effective and efficient method to address the complaints.  We will incorporate those results into the design of our new water treatment plant.
