Kathleen Streeval

Kathleen “Kay” (Fears) Streeval, age 79 passed away on Monday evening, December 14, 2020 at Franciscan St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Franklin.

Kay was born April 10, 1941, in Decatur, Illinois to her parents, the late Otis and Erma “Lucille” (Brewer) Fears. She was a 1961 graduate of Decatur High School. Kay married David L. Streeval on November 16, 1957. They started a life together in Decatur, spent time in California, and ultimately settled down in Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1997 after 39 years of marriage.

Miss Kay worked at the Johnson County Jail as a Kitchen Supervisor for 12 years, retiring in 2014. Prior to that, she worked as an Operation Specialist for Taylor Distribution in Greenwood.

Kay was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Franklin. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, making wedding cakes and reading various forms of literature. Kay had a strong love of family and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be missed by her children: Doris (John) Bozich of Naples, Florida, Rhonda (Jim) Fidanza of Woodstock, Georgia, Lisa (Terry) Spall of Franklin, David (Delynn) Streeval of Mt. Zion, Illinois, Craig (April) Streeval of Franklin, Eric (Amy) Streeval of Columbus, sisters: Eileen (Tom) Pygott of Decatur, Illinois and Carolyn (Jerry) Marley of Nokomis, Illinois, 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren with one on the way.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, husband David Streeval Sr., children: Steve Streeval and Melisa Williamson, infant grandchildren: Tyler Zachary and Garrett Limp and siblings: David Fears and Rosalie Bockman.

A private graveside service will take place at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
