Berford Lowery “Larry” Weaver, 87 of Franklin passed away in the Skilled Care Unit at Compass Park at the Indiana Masonic Home on Thursday, December 5, 2019 in Franklin. He was born on September 1, 1932 in Glasgow, Kentucky to Berford “B.L.” and Minnie (Williams) Weaver. He married Delores (Roberts) Weaver on September 18, 1954. They were married for sixty-five years. She lovingly survives. Also surviving is one daughter, Theresa (James) Risley; grandchildren, Joshua Dean Fleener, Nicholas Lowery Fleener, Kyle J. Risley and Kayla L. Risley; great-grandchildren, Jaycee, Caleb, Kaleb, Emma, Jude, Nora, and Dani; and his siblings, Ruby Fowler, Frank Weaver and Doris McLeaster; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in passing by his parents; and siblings, James Weaver, Agnus Woodrum and Emma Curts. Larry was a graduate of Franklin Community High School. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. Larry was employed by Henderson Drugs in Franklin as the Manager for thirty-eight years. He was a member of Who So Ever Will Community Church in Edinburgh. Larry was a proud member of the Franklin American Legion Post No. 205 for forty-eight years. He loved the Kentucky Wildcats basketball and enjoyed fishing and golfing. He enjoyed Nascar and he enjoyed playing softball in his younger days. Rev. Lewis Burton will conduct a celebration of Larry’s life on Monday, December 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin. Friends may call on Sunday, December 8 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday, December 9 from 10:00 a.m. to time of service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
