Baby Contest Wednesday, September 11th at 6:00pm!! Registration forms and $5 fees will be accepted now through Tuesday, September 10th. Register now at the Parks and Rec. office. Age divisions are: 0-6 months/7-12 months/ 13-24 months/ 25-36 months. Boys and girls will be judged on the following criteria- Overall Cuteness, Mr. & Miss Personality, and Best Costume. Hidden Talent? Reveal your special gifts at Edinburgh's Fall Festival Talent Show Wednesday, September 11th at 7:30pm. Register now at the Parks and Rec. office. All forms and $5 fees are due by Tuesday, Sept. 11th. Hurry in, spots are limited!!! Talent Show Reg Form


Bracelets for the Midway on Main Street rides will be on sale at the Edinburgh Wright-Hageman Public Library only. Tickets will be $20.00 and will be on sale Aug. 28 until noon on Sept. 11th. Bracelets will be good Sept. 11th and 12th (Wednesday and Thursday) at 5:00pm. Individual ride tickets may be purchased as well during the festival at any ticket booth. 


The parade will begin at 11:00am on Saturday, Sept. 14th at the high school football field. Applications to have a unit in the parade can be picked up at the Edinburgh Wright-Hageman Public Library and Edinburgh Parks & Recreation.

Are you between the ages of 13 & 19 and live in the Edinburgh area? Do you want to help make a difference in your community? Do you want positive community service for your college applications?
Consider signing up for the 62nd Annual Fall Festival Queen Contest!

The contest is sponsored by the Delta Sigma Chapter of Tri Kappa and is limited to the first 10 contestants who sign up by paying a $5 registration fee. Registration forms will be available in the EHS main office after August 6th or by calling (812) 344-6069 .

Candidates will need to attend an informative meeting on August 21st at 6pm in the John R. Drybread Community Center. 

To be a candidate, girls must be:
• Between the ages of 13 and 19; must be single and never married
• Enrolled in school or be a recent high school graduate
• A resident of Edinburgh, Johnson County or the surrounding area

Previous contestants can run again, but not previous queens.
The number of penny votes collected in canisters distributed to each contestant will determine the winner. All contestants will participate in the Fall Festival Parade. The queen will be crowned during a ceremony at 7 p.m. Sept. 14th.

In addition to her tiara and roses, the queen will receive $500 and the runner-up will receive $300. All contestants will receive a gift from Tri Kappa.

Proceeds are used for the charitable causes that Tri Kappa supports in the Edinburgh community such as RIF, scholarships, field trips, eye & dental care for children, and many more! Participants can use this experience as a community service project when filling out college and scholarship applications.

The 2019 Prince & Princess will be crowned on Saturday, September 14th following the Fall Festival Parade at The Edinburgh Pixy Theatre.

Registration is open to 3, 4, & 5 year olds living in the Edinburgh area. 5 year olds may not turn 6 prior to September 14th. The first 8 girls and 8 boys to register will be accepted. Registration is going on now through August 21st. Forms are available at the Edinburgh Wright-Hageman Public Library or the John R. Drybread Community Center.

Only one child per family may register, unless children are twins.

Lion’s Club reserves the right to cancel the event if there is a lack of interest.

Each child, who completes the contest, will receive a $50.00 gift card to Build-A- Bear, an 8x10 framed picture and a ride bracelet.

Prince and Princess winners will receive a battery-powered vehicle, and a $25.00 gift card  compliments of Horizon Bank. Prince and Princess runner-up will receive a bicycle and a $25.00 gift card. Best-decorated canister will receive a gift card.
