CATALYTIC CONVERTER PACKET
CATALYTIC CONVERTER SALE REQUIREMENTS
The sale of a converter without a dealer license requires the police to inspect the converter and the vehicle it came off. This is done by cutting the converter off in the presence of law enforcement or having a law enforcement officer view the vehicle that the converter was cut off of to match the converter being sold. The law enforcement officer can complete a reporting showing that the converter has been verified as not stolen and able to be sold with the Make Model and VIN the converter was removed from. This report shall be taken to a Core Buyer of their choice and then sold.
Any law enforcement agency can inspect the vehicle and converter and complete the report. If the vehicle and converter are not present together then Edinburgh Police will not complete the report for sale.
